Issue #016, Round and Round We Go
Hi, it’s Caroline.
This week’s theme is circles. The money in AI is apparently going in circles. Our car is going in circles driving our 15-year-old daughter to camp and back for her summer job as a camp counsellor. Thank goodness the long weekend is coming up. I plan to be walking in slow circles around the backyard with a coffee, doing absolutely nothing.

AI Under the Hood
The Wall Street journal reported that Nvidia is in talks to offer financing for a large OpenAI data center project in Ohio. And a bunch of that money will find its way back to Nvidia. The data center will be full of Nvidia chips

Live on NYSE TV, From Our Home Studio
On Tuesday morning, we were live on NYSE TV talking quantum computing. It was super cool, and I loved every second of it.
On Sunday morning, we launched our deep dive on IonQ, featuring our interview with the company’s CFO and COO, Inder Singh. Quantum computing is one of those topics that sounds intimidating until you do a deep dive. We did it for you. Watch here:
The Week
Saturday: The Blossom event. Great time.
Sunday: The IonQ video launched in the morning.
Monday: Phone calls, deal flow, producing, editing.
Tuesday: The NYSE TV hit live. Still smiling about it.
Wednesday and Thursday: More editing, more calls, and the daily camp counsellor drives. Our older daughter has a summer job and we have a job as a driver. 4 HOURS A DAY. (2 hours round trip each way)
Friday: Birthday shopping with my mom and dad The best. Scored a cute satin brown dress for fall from Aritzia, Santorini Ouai perfume and rare beauty exhilarate highlighter!
Saturday and Sunday: A long weekend and finally a break. Do not call us.
Jon’s AM vs. Caroline’s PM
Jon’s AM: Global X videos, a Globe and Mail piece, BNN hits and articles. The man was working hard.
Caroline’s PM: Editing, invoicing, kickboxing, the dog groomer, and the camp counsellor car service.

Sometimes AI money goes in circles, and sometimes our lives do too. The trick is noticing when the circle is actually a good one. A daughter with a summer job, a business that keeps us busy, a live hit from the home studio. We’ll take that loop any day.
